Kindred Invests in Rangers’ Mental Health Program

The Kindred Group has strengthened its ties with the Scottish Premier League soccer club Rangers through a new investment that will be used to support the club’s mental health program.

Kindred characterizes this investment and jersey sponsorship contribution as a prime example of a “completely new community-focused sponsorship model.”

Kindred has renewed its financial commitment to “Team Talk,” which will see a substantial investment as the Rangers Charity Foundation continues to expand the program.

Kindred also donated the front-of-jersey sponsorship rights to the program for Rangers’ Europa League semifinal match against RB Leipzig on Thursday evening. Rangers’ jerseys typically feature the Kindred brand 32Red, but last night they showcased the “Team Talk” logo. Kindred has promised to have the same jerseys worn in the final if the Glasgow club progresses after last night’s 0-1 defeat to the Germans.

“The investment we are announcing today ensures that the Rangers Charity Foundation can continue the excellent progress made in the first year of the program,” stated Neil Banbury, Kindred UK Managing Director.

Rangers FC expressed their desire to provide assistance to a greater number of males grappling with mental health challenges by leveraging the robust connection between supporters and their local team. “Thanks to the financial backing provided by Kindred last year, Team Talk has already extended aid to numerous men in Glasgow, furnishing them with guidance, assistance, and encouragement, thereby instilling in them the self-assurance to openly discuss their mental health.”

Team Talk utilizes the local club as a conduit for initiating conversations among men about their mental well-being. Kindred has also extended its support to Middlesbrough FC and Derby County FC by providing funding for Team Talk programs at these clubs.

Connal Cochrane, the Director of the Rangers Foundation, stated, “The financial contribution from Kindred Group has been exceptionally beneficial to our Team Talk program. This marks the inaugural instance of a significant sponsor of the club making such a substantial and concentrated investment in the local community.

“We are cognizant of the life-saving potential of open communication, and we are now in a position to sustain the program for an additional year, building upon the achievements of the previous year. This will enable existing and new participants to partake in our weekly program, which has already demonstrably enhanced their mental health and well-being. It has also facilitated the formation of connections among the group and enabled them to receive support from our staff within a secure environment.”
