Esports wagering company Esports Entertainment Group has penned an agreement to take possession of some resources from mobile gaming studio Flip Sports.

The specifics of the arrangement were not made public, and Flip Sports workers and all intellectual property will be under the control of the operator after the deal is finalized.

Flip Sports offers a multi-platform second-screen experience for spectators and bettors watching live sporting events through its unique real-time peer-to-peer technology.

“The Flip team are pioneers in constructing online betting platforms that elevate the player experience,” said John Brackens, Esports Entertainment’s CIO and CTO.

“Their knowledge will bolster our endeavors in esports and aid us in further developing top-notch immersive experiences for esports enthusiasts.”

Esports Entertainment CEO Grant Johnson stated that the acquisition will provide value to the operator as it enters a phase of “opportunity and rapid expansion.”

Being the initial esports enterprise to be publicly traded on the Nasdaq in the U.S., we possess a distinct edge in capitalizing on the fragmented esports industry and will persist in pursuing acquisition possibilities. “Flip will be the most recent evidence of the success of our merger and acquisition strategy,” stated Johnson.

This action follows the esports entertainment group’s takeover of online gambling and gaming operator Argyll Entertainment and its operational branches last month.

The organization is seeking additional merger and acquisition activity and has collaborated with independent capital markets advisor Akur Capital to assist it in pinpointing more transactions.
