This is the final ICE to be held in London, but even though the event will relocate to Barcelona in 2025, Hunter informed Brandon Busman and Brent Aiden that he’s determined to ensure that doesn’t affect this year’s gathering.

He explained that it’s crucial to maintain the energy from the 2023 edition. That was a record-breaking gathering, and ICE 2024 is expected to equal last year’s triumph in terms of participants, exhibitors, and agreements.

**Learning at ICE**

The start of ICE week is the ICE VOX conference, which features the Global Regulatory Briefing and the International Casino Conference. This will bring together top operators, key regulators, and companies from outside the field, including Netflix.

Hunter stated the production team has invested a great deal of effort into crafting the schedule, which covers key issues for the industry. There will be sessions on AI, responsible gaming, and cybersecurity, but organized in a manner that sparks meaningful discussion.

Hunter is particularly eager to hear from Bill Hornbuckle, Chief Executive of MGM Resorts International.

Collaborating with the MGM crew has been incredible, they’re incredibly enthusiastic to be at ICE and share their expertise, and I’m confident Bill is as well.

Connecting the gap between Europe and the US
Brandon mentioned ICE serves as a link between Europe and the United States. It’s a platform for the emerging North American regulatory market, utilizing knowledge from more established regions, but how has this impacted the exhibition space?

Hunter explained that it’s significantly larger, encompassing over a million square feet, situated at ExCeL London, with around 650 brands covering all aspects of the industry. There will be individuals from over 150 nations, but this signifies the Clarion Gaming team has to carefully select what’s in the exhibition space to align with the industry’s requirements.

Hunter stated each event has to determine what attendees are seeking and match that with what potential exhibitors require. It’s akin to assembling a store.

The path to ICE Barcelona
ICE 2024 will be the final one in London, as it’s relocating to Barcelona next year after they explored various options for its location.

This is a significant opportunity—it’s about looking five to ten years into the future for the platform, ensuring the exhibition can continue expanding.

Barcelonas brand-new exhibit space is double the size of London’s ExCeL, giving exhibitors more freedom to present their goods in more imaginative ways.

“This will elevate ICE to a new level, just as it did when it transitioned from Earls Court to ExCeL,” Hunter stated. “A fresh direction, new progress, new expansion, much enthusiasm, many opportunities, this marks the next phase beginning in 2025.”
