Buzz Bingo CEO Chris Matthews Steps Down After Successful Turnaround

Chris Matthews, the Chief Executive Officer of Buzz Bingo, will be leaving his position at the year’s end. Since the company’s name change from Gala Bingo in 2018, he has been leading the organization, steering them through a particularly challenging period during the global health crisis. Matthews conveyed that although departing from a company he holds dear is tough, he has faith that Buzz Bingo is well-positioned for success with its online expansion and return to profitability.

Dominic Mansour, the present Chief Operating Officer, will be taking on the role. Mansour became a part of Buzz Bingo in January 2021 and has collaborated closely with Matthews. He expressed enthusiasm for the company’s future and his assurance in guiding the team alongside the committed workforce.

The Chairman of Buzz Bingo, John Kelly, commended Matthews’ leadership through shifts in ownership, the pandemic, and organizational restructuring. He recognized the successful establishment of the Buzz brand and platform under Matthews’ direction.

Christopher performed admirably! His contributions significantly boosted the development of those systems, leaving us in a far more favorable position. While his absence will be felt, we extend our best wishes for his future endeavors.
