## Aussie Puck Action Gets Boost with Data Deal
The Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) just landed a major victory by joining forces with sports information powerhouse Sportradar. This agreement, spanning multiple years, grants Sportradar international rights (excluding Australia and New Zealand) to AIHL data and video material through 2024.
This collaboration is a significant advancement for Australian ice hockey. Sportradar will equip the AIHL with state-of-the-art technology, featuring a system called “Connected Stadium.” This innovative solution captures live game action and transforms it into a more captivating experience for spectators. Imagine instant replays, dynamic camera perspectives, and simplified access to key moments.
The AIHL is particularly enthusiastic about implementing “Connected Stadium” in a minimum of six venues by 2024, including Melbourne’s renowned O’Brien Icehouse. This will dramatically enhance the fan experience and introduce Australian ice hockey to a broader viewership.
However, this partnership extends beyond impressive technology. Sportradar will also furnish the AIHL with its acclaimed integrity services, including the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS).
