Betr Expands Sports Betting Reach to Seven States in 2024

A fresh face in the sports wagering arena, Betr, is generating buzz as it prepares to debut in seven states over the course of 2024. Their rollout begins in Colorado, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania, with the aim of being operational in these locations by the start of the following year. This expansion will bring their total footprint to eight states, supplementing their existing presence in Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, and Massachusetts.

Regarding Massachusetts, although currently in a trial period, they have opted not to extend their provisional permit in that state. Conversely, they are eagerly anticipating approval for their Maryland license. Their objective is to have their platform fully functional in all seven states prior to the commencement of the 2024 NFL season.

Betr’s ambitions extend beyond sports wagering, as they are also venturing into the dynamic realm of internet casinos. They have declared their intention to introduce “Betr Casino” in Pennsylvania, diversifying their gaming offerings.

To facilitate these endeavors, Betr is forging alliances with strategic collaborators. A noteworthy partnership is with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) in Kentucky. This joint effort will grant them entry into the Kentucky market by leveraging EBCI’s established framework. Both Betr and EBCI are optimistic about the success of this partnership, particularly given their existing market access agreement in Indiana.

Kambi Group PLC has granted Betr permission to conduct business in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Louisiana. Rob Norton, the head of Cordish Gaming Group, expresses great enthusiasm for Betr’s internet-based gaming platform, Betr Casino, which is set to debut upon receiving formal approval from regulatory bodies.

Norton remarked, “Betr Casino will provide residents of Pennsylvania with additional avenues for winning, complementing our two thriving Live! Casinos.”

Betr intends to progressively introduce its Version 1 sports betting platform in all the aforementioned states (excluding Massachusetts) throughout the current year.

Joey Levy, the originator and CEO of Betr, stated, “Even before the launch of our Version 1 sportsbook, we are thrilled to collaborate with Sportsbook to penetrate new territories and make Betr Casino operational in 2024.”

He further noted, “These newly entered states will grant Betr Sportsbook access to more than 17% of adults in the U.S. by year’s end, while Betr Picks continues to target over 50%.”
