## Malta Hosts a Remarkable 25,000 Participants at the Dynamic SiGMA Europe 2023

The event drew a significant concentration of influential decision-makers and esteemed leaders, including figures such as Darryl Manning, Chief Executive Officer of Wicked Games; Alexandre Tomic, Founder & CEO of Alea; seasoned entrepreneur David Meltzer; and Uri Poliavich, Chief Executive Officer of Soft2Bet, among numerous others.

This years Malta Week saw the impressive return of the SiGMA Startup Pitch, where 8BIT Gaming emerged victorious thanks to their outstanding presentation. The judges were clearly captivated by the company’s dedication to quality, innovation, and a touch of nostalgic appeal, ultimately bestowing upon them the highest honors on the SiGMA stage. The AIBC Europe Startup Pitch also concluded on a high note, with SharkGate securing the top prize. In a heartfelt acceptance speech, they shared their bold goal: “We aim to make the internet a safer space for everyone, and we plan to revolutionize how the industry handles data security.”
**Intense Battles Steal the Show: CFC16 – The “Mur萨” Centurion Fight Night**
SiGMA’s flagship event ran concurrently with another thrilling spectacle – the electrifying “Mur萨” Centurion Fight Night. Orchestrated by the renowned Roberto Gallo, this mixed martial arts showcase offered SiGMA attendees an exclusive opportunity to witness the prowess of Centurion FC up close. The night featured two compelling main events: Rafael Carvalho’s victory over Marcelo Alfaia, securing him the Light Heavyweight Championship belt, and a captivating four-man Grand Prix where Philip Douglas emerged victorious, being crowned “Ruler of Malta” at the Takkarik Basketball Arena.
The SiGMA group enjoyed a packed itinerary of activities in addition to the numerous high-profile networking possibilities presented at dinners and iGatherings.
A thrilling charitable poker competition organized by HighRoller.com, with rewards offered for the capture of various well-known participants and representatives, provided a plethora of obstacles.
The SiGMA Cup five-a-side soccer competition at the Luxol Sports Club got hearts racing, as did the 6km fun run, which began at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta and meandered through the historic heart of Malta’s capital.
A VIP golf event sponsored by SiGMA Play at the Royal Malta Golf Club provided a change of pace but was no less thrilling.
Land and sea excursions of Malta’s lovely capital displayed the historical treasures in all their splendor – the entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
